Nigeria plans to increase rice production fourfold in 10 years

Source: Bloomberg26/03/2010 – Nigeria, Africa’s third-biggest rice producer, plans to boost production of the grain fourfold over the next decade to save more than $500 million spent annually on imports, the Agriculture Ministry said.
