Resource management is the foundation that supports the technical work of FLAR. Since 1995, the quotas contributed by the members have provided the necessary resources to sustain the research, with emphasis on the improvement of the germplasm accessed by the partners. Added to this is the agronomy fee, through which contributing members access the benefits of the program, and the FOIN fee, from the sale of certified seeds of FL varieties.
In addition to these contributions, FLAR continues to manage resources through special projects that strengthen the research and technology transfer agenda, while ensuring the delivery of committed products and services.

We manage strategic alliances and projects through actions that strengthen the institutionality of FLAR, including capabilities, resources, the fulfillment of our mission, and the financial sustainability of the Fund.
Special Projects in Development
Through collaborative initiatives with our members and strategic allies, we develop a technical and innovation agenda that responds to priorities such as agronomic management, technology transfer, and the use of certified seeds, among others. Each project is oriented to generate practical and scalable solutions, with concrete goals and a regional focus, contributing to the sustainable development of rice cultivation in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Capacity Building
Through the regional offices—the already consolidated FLAR office for the temperate zone in Uruguay and the FLAR office for Central America and the Caribbean in Panama—we implement activities that promote the productivity and profitability of rice cultivation in each region.
Internally, we are committed to a human management focused on the technical and skills development of our team, as an integral part of institutional strengthening.
Likewise, we are advancing in the incorporation of equipment and infrastructure for rice research, which are available to our members. At the same time, we promote knowledge management and work to consolidate the FLAR brand, communicating our work, results, and achievements, with special emphasis on the valorization of rice to the general public.
